I. INTRODUCTION
Several federal and state labor laws contain provisions that direct employers to display posters to advise employees of rights or protections concerning specific employment laws. A minimum number of employees will trigger coverage and compliance. These “threshold” provisions are covered in the previous article (See, “Employment Thresholds”). The following is a summary of poster requirements that may affect either the bank or related business activities, depending upon its size, along with the addresses and telephone numbers of the state or federal agencies for which such posters may be obtained. For your convenience, the U.S. Department of Labor has a webpage called the “poster advisor” that is designed to help employers comply with the poster requirements of several laws administered by the Department and are provided at no cost to employers. The site may be accessed at www.dol.gov/elaws/posters.htm.
