Fullerton, NEB.– The City of Fullerton received a $10,000 check from the Bank On Nebraska Strong fund. Kurt Pickrel of First Bank and Trust of Fullerton presented the check to Pat Larsen, mayor of Fullerton. The Bank On Nebraska Strong fund was established by the Nebraska Bankers Association in coordination with the Nebraska Community Foundation to assist with disaster recovery and rebuilding efforts from the March 2019 flooding. Grants were awarded last summer to seven projects across Nebraska. The City of Fullerton used the grant to repair the youth ball fields damaged by the flooding. The goal of the fund was to help organizations like the Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity with long-term recovery efforts,” said NBA President and CEO Richard Baier. “The NBA is pleased to see the tangible results provided through the Bank On Nebraska Strong fund.” Contributions to the fund were made by banks, bankers, organizations and individuals from across Nebraska and around the country.
